Teri

Registered Dental Hygienist

Teri graduated from the Foothill College Dental Hygiene program in 1990 and has practiced in a general practice setting for 28 years. Prior to becoming a dental hygienist, she was an RDA for 13, giving her many years in the profession of dentistry. In 1993, she began her education in dental lasers with a Standard Proficiency and received her Advanced Proficiency in 1995. She also received her UCSF/ALD Laser Educator Status in 2000.

Teri is also a past Hygienist’s Representative to the Board of Directors of the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD), a past chair of the Hygienist’s Committee, functioned as an examiner and speaker for the ALD at their annual conferences, has published many articles on lasers in periodontal therapy and given many presentations on Lasers in Dental Hygiene. She traveled throughout the United States providing in office, chairside, hands-on training, and Intermediate Dental Laser Courses for dental hygienists through her business Soft Tissue Laser Training.

In 2010, she retired from her laser career to go back into clinical chairside practice and loves every minute of it. She has 2 granddaughters to spoil and have fun with and is an avid reader of over 40 books a year.

Tina

Registered Dental Hygienist

Tina has been in the dental industry since 2001. After completing the dental assisting program at San Jose City College, she worked for five years as a registered dental assistant. She then returned to school to continue her education, proudly obtaining her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2008 from Cabrillo Community College in Aptos. When not working she loves being a mother to her three children and doing family activities.

Jean

Registered Dental Hygienist

Jean has worked in both family and multi-specialty dentistry. She started out as a Dental Assistant in 1994 and eventually became a registered Dental Assistant. She graduated with an Associate of Arts in 1998 from Monterey Peninsula College and an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Fresno City College in 2001. With over 20 years of dental practice experience, she emphasizes patient education and recommends dental aids based on patients’ abilities. Jean enjoys conversing and building rapport with patients. Her family loves taking vacations to Hawaii and discovering new places, enjoying new cultures and food. She is excited to join the Uyesugi Team!

Myra

Registered Dental Hygienist

Myra has been in the dental field for over 17 years. She started her career as front desk personnel and later developed an interest in dental assisting. She pursued further education at Fresno City College to become a Registered Dental Hygienist. Myra brings passion and dedication to her profession. She enjoys educating patients and helping them reach their optimal dental health. In her free time, Myra enjoys travel and outdoor activities with her husband and two young children.

Vince

Registered Dental Hygienist

Vincent is a licensed dental hygienist who recently graduated from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Vincent is dedicated to helping individuals achieve and maintain optimal oral health. His approach to hygiene combines clinical excellence with a warm, approachable manner, making patients feel comfortable and well-cared for. Outside of work, Vincent enjoys staying active and prioritizes a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Whether it's exploring the outdoors or finding new ways to stay moving, he believes in the importance of overall wellness both in and out of the dental chair.

Cindy

Registered Dental Hygienist

With a history working in both clinical & educational settings, Cindy brings over 25 years of dental hygiene experience to Uyesugi Dental.

Dually licensed in both the state of California & Texas, she is also laser certified. Cindy understands how the use of the soft tissue diode laser combined with other therapeutic methods, can lead to excellent healing results & long-term stability of the gums.

With her thorough, yet gentle approach, Cindy aspires to provide excellent care while keeping patients as comfortable as possible during treatment. She really enjoys forming relationships and building trust over time so she can best serve patients’ needs.

Ultimately, Cindy finds it most rewarding to partner with her patients to improve & maintain their oral health, leading to better overall health.

When not working, Cindy loves spending time with her daughter and enjoying the outdoors. Whether that means hiking, skiing, or just time at the park or beach, she loves getting her daily dose of Vitamin D. You can also find her trying new restaurants, listening to music and dancing.

Jayden

Registered Dental Hygienist

Jayden has been dedicated to the dental field since beginning as a dental assistant, gaining valuable hands-on experience before pursuing higher education. He proudly earned a Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene from Foothill College, graduating with high honors. This educational achievement reflects a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. Outside of the clinic, Jayden maintains an active lifestyle by playing sports weekly and enjoys traveling. He is also bilingual in English and Vietnamese.

Maria

Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions, Expanded Duties Level II

Maria has been working in the dental field for over twenty years. For eight of those years, she has worked with the Uyesugi Dental team. She received her training as a Registered Dental Assistant at San Jose City College. In 2013, she returned to the University of Pacific in San Francisco and earned her license for Registered Dental Assistant Extended Function. She now has the ability to place resin fillings and crowns. Maria enjoys assisting in creating beautiful healthy smiles for her patients. Outside of work, Maria has three sons that she loves spending time with. She also loves traveling, especially to Hawaii, and is currently training for her first marathon in San Francisco.

MJ

Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions, Expanded Duties Level II

MJ is a registered dental assistant with 10 years of experience. Her down-to-earth personality and positive energy help ease any worries during patients’ visits. She possesses a ‘team spirit’ attitude and is excited to be part of the Uyesugi team. Outside of the office, she enjoys fitness, music, gardening, and the outdoors. Her motivation in life is her two boys and creating memorable experiences with her friends and family.

Delijah

Registered Dental Assistant

Delijah is a Registered Dental Assistant. She attended Silicon Valley Career Technical Education during high school to begin her career in the dental field. She enjoys making friendships with patients, and most of all making them feel comfortable in the chair! The main goal of Delijah’s is to become a Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions. She enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her son and family.

Dana

Treatment Coordinator

Dana is a San Jose native and an alumna of Presentation High School and San Francisco State University. She still enjoys day trips to San Francisco regularly, and you might find her at the beach, checking out a new art exhibit, catching some live music, or sampling the local ice cream! Dana brings an orthodontic background to the office, and enjoys meeting new people as well as building relationships with everyone who visits the office. She is thrilled to be part of the awesome Uyesugi Dental Team!

Dawn

Treatment Coordinator

Dawn started her 20+ year career in dentistry after graduating from the Central County Occupational Center as a Certified Dental Assistant. Dawn’s daily goal is to create the most effortless yet effective flow from the front office to the back and to make sure each patient always leaves with a positive experience.

Where her years as a professional in the industry really shines through is how she seamlessly takes every patient’s visit and makes it pleasant and efficient from the moment they call the office or walk through the door for their appointment, and it continues with every interaction thereafter as she helps build on a long term relationship between patient and staff. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, camping, and most of all, spending as much time as possible with her family. Dawn is extremely thrilled to be a part of the Uyesugi Dental family!

Daissy

Treatment Coordinator

Daissy brings oral surgery experience to our office and looks forward to building relationships with every patient and helping them with their needs. When she’s not in the office she enjoys crafting and thrifting all over the bay area!

Ilene

Office Manager

Ilene grew up in the Shaver Lake / Fresno area on the family sheep ranch. She graduated from Fresno State University, majoring in Agricultural Business emphasis on International business in 1988. She moved to San Francisco that same year to work in commodity sales. She later moved into optical sales. Ilene joined the Uyesugi Dental team 20 years ago. She currently manages OSHA, HIPAA, and accounting for Uyesugi Dental. Ilene enjoys traveling with her husband and time with her two kids.
